A shop built by welders, still run by welders.
Imran Haroon started this business in 1998 with one truck and a Lincoln SA-200. His daughter Dana runs it today from a 22,000 square foot shop off Needmore Road. The trucks are newer. The standard is the same.
Where we came from
Imran spent twelve years welding pipe at the GM Moraine plant before the layoffs in the mid-nineties pushed him into business for himself. The first jobs were farm repairs and trailer frames, done in a rented pole barn. The first real contract was 200 feet of guardrail for a Dayton school addition, which he welded in the barn and installed himself over a long weekend.
The structural work grew from there. By 2006 the shop had six welders, a bridge crane and its first AWS D1.1 certified crew. Dana joined full-time in 2011 after finishing her welding engineering technology degree at Ferris State and earning her CWI. She took over as owner in 2019.
Today we run 14 welders and fabricators, two service trucks, a CNC plasma table and a press brake, and we still do farm repairs. Some of the same farms.
